⦿ The tournament will be played in a Group Stage + Knockout Phase format.
⦿ 6 Teams / 7 Players Per Team +1 Subsitute (Potentially)
⦿ There will be 2 groups, Group A and Group B. Each group will consist of 3 teams.
⦿ The group stage will have a double round robin format with each team playing each other twice. 3 points will be awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a loss.
⦿ The top 2 teams of each group will move on to the Semi Finals. The team in 1st place will face the team in 2nd place from the other group.
⦿ The teams in 1st place will play their Semi-Finals on their home ground.
⦿ The winners of the Semi-Finals will then face each other in the Final to decide the winner of the Tournament.
⦿ Each Group Stage game will be 15 MINUTES long with no injury time or half time.
⦿ Each Semi Final will be 20 MINUTES long with 10 MINUTES PER HALF. (5 MINUTES extra time will be given if the game is tied. If the game is still tied penalties will take place).
⦿ The Final will be 20 MINUTES long with 10 MINUTES PER HALF. (5 MINUTES extra time will be given if the game is tied. If the game is still tied penalties will take place).
⦿ 3 Points for a win, 1 Point for a draw and 0 Points for a loss.
⦿ Each team will play 4 group games in total. The top 2 teams of each group will progress to the Semi Final.
⦿ If two teams have the same number of points then the team with BETTER GOAL DIFFERENCE will progress.
⦿ The team that finishes 1st in each group will face the team that finishes 2nd in the other group.
⦿ The team in 1st will remain on their home ground while the team in 2nd will play away for the Semi-Finals.
⦿ The winners of the Semi Final will face each other in the Final on Field 1 to decide the winner.
⦿ A referee may give a yellow card out to players who commit dangerous fouls.
⦿ If a player receives 2 yellow cards in ONE game, he will have to sit out the rest of the current game.
⦿ If a player receives a STRAIGHT RED for serious foul play, he will have to sit out the rest of the current game and half of the next game.
⦿ Any hand ball done on purpose, foul conduct, tackling with studs up and abusing the ref will all result in STRAIGHT RED CARDS.
⦿ There will be no assists for direct goals scored from set pieces. The person who won the penalty or free kick will NOT receive an assist. (Penalties, Free Kicks and Corners)
⦿ Once a goalkeeper is appointed for a game, HE MUST REMAIN THE GOALKEEPER until the end of that game. (Keepers may NOT change during penalty shootouts)
⦿ If a player shoots a shot clearly on target and it takes a deflection before going in the goal it will count for the person who kicked the ball and not as an own goal.
⦿ If a player takes a shot off target but a big deflection causes it to go in it will count as an own goal.
⦿ In case of a tie for the Golden Boot or Playmaker award a tiebreaker will be used to decide ONE winner. Tie Breakers include other aspects such as total G/A, total minutes played, etc.
⦿ The DOTTED LINES on each half of the field will be used as OFFSIDE LINES.
⦿ If there are NO DEFENDERS behind the dotted line then NO ATTACKING PLAYER can go past the same dotted line until the ball is played.
⦿ If there IS a DEFENDER even one step behind the dotted line (closer to his own goal) then the ATTACKING PLAYER is allowed to stand and receive the ball anywhere on the field.TO SIMPLIFY
⦿ FOR ATTACKERS: If you see a defender standing behind the dotted line (towards their own goal) then you may stand anywhere past the dotted line and not be offsides.
⦿ FOR DEFENDERS: If you would like to make the attacker offside make sure every player on your team (besides the goalkeeper) is in front of the dotted line (away from your goal). Therefore if the attacker receives the ball while standing behind the dotted line they will be OFFSIDES.
⦿ Substitutes must have a combined playing time of 15 minutes during the group stages. +5 minutes for every following game.
⦿ There are NO substitutions for goal keepers. Substitutions can only be made for outfield players.
⦿ There is only one substitution allowed per game. Once a player is swapped it will remain that way till the end of the game.
⦿ Substitutes are not allowed to be part of the starting 7. However, they may be subbed on after the game has begun.
⦿ You must wear clothing that covers your awrah (navel to knees) NO SHORTS etc.
⦿ You must wear appropriate footwear (cleats, or trainers) NO SLIDES OR SLIPPERS etc.
⦿ Though water will be provided, please bring your own water and plenty of it!!!
⦿ Keep your belongings near you at all times. We will NOT be responsible for any lost items.
